Introspective
Reflection
Guide

The average human has more than 50,000 thoughts per day; more than half of them are negative, and more than 90% are just a repetition from the day before (Wood, 2013).

This means refocusing your mind on positive thoughts through introspection and reflection is essential for personal ascendance and growth. A habit of often reflection helps you to develop your skills and review their effectiveness, rather than just carry on doing things as you have always done them.

However, reflections and introspection are critical at any point in time and enable you to grow. Wilhelm Wundt developed the concept of introspection in the late 1800s (McLeod, 2008). According to him, introspection and reflection are focused on thoughts, images, and feelings. Reflection takes the focus away from fast-paced lives and allows you to be in the present moment and refocus on fulfilment (Wood, 2013).
